Gemini Season

Gemini Season brings an increase in mental activity, social activity and communication. It is a time of learning and wanting to converse and share what you have learnt with others. With full social calendars it can be a very busy time, but invites us to have fun and connect. It may also inspire you to explore somewhere new.

This year there is a lot happening with Gemini’s ruler, Mercury at the start of the season and around the Gemini new moon. It conjuncts Uranus the planet of unexpected change just before it makes its transit into Gemini (the day before the new moon). A couple of days after this Gemini new moon we have a Mercury cazimi.

Expect a lot of information to be flowing at this time. From the Uranus conjunction on 25th May, over the new moon, to the cazimi on 30th May.

Mercury does a quick dash through Gemini in just 14 days.

This quick stint, during Gemini season, is a time of rapid communication!

Extra strong, fast, flighty energy. So whilst a lot will be coming in (on the mental plane) and it can be quite exciting and exhilarating, it is really important to ground. To ensure that you don’t float away with all of this volatile air energy, and so that you can actually integrate all of this new mental activity.

Grounding is essential this season as it provides an outlet for all of the excess energy, to prevent it stagnating in the body and clogging your system. Otherwise it is very easy to trip a switch just like a power surge, leaving you feeling overwhelmed with a frazzled nervous system. And with Mercury in Gemini, this Gemini Season power surges(proverbial) are very possible.

It’s very easy to feel overwhelmed in Gemini Season (at the best of times) with so much happening at such a fast pace. It is a mutable air sign after all! So really take some time to look after yourself.

It is for these reasons that I have crafted this particular blend. To allow you to make the most of this extra ‘Gemini’ Gemini Season, but also have the stamina to last the season. It encourages the mental stimulation, whilst nourishing the nervous system and providing the grounding required to integrate the influx of information.

Bergamot to uplift, calm and refresh. To eases nervous tension and help to redirect nervous energy.

Rosemary to stimulate the mind. It clears the mind and aids in the assimilation of new ideas. It can also improve concentration and relieve mental fatiuge. As rosemary also calms the nerves, it is the ultimate essential for Gemini Season.

Cedarwood to ground. Its warm woody notes are deeply grounding and it also acts as a powerful nerve tonic. This is a warm balm for any anxiety that can easily arise during the season.

The big event this season is when Saturn enters Aries on the 25th of May. It’s another outer planet making its ingress (all outer planets change sign this year which is extremely rare), but it does so at the first degree of the zodiac. Beginning a whole new 30 year Saturn cycle. But most importantly, it edges closer to Neptune. As Saturn and Neptune begin a dance leading up to their major conjunction.

Jupiter is also making its entrance into Cancer on the 10th of June. This is a powerful important event this season as this transit adds another piece to the new energetic landscape that is forming. Which will be complete just a few weeks later once Uranus (the final outer planet) makes its transit.

In June we also have:

Venus entering Taurus on the 6th

Mercury entering Cancer on the 9th

Mars entering Virgo on the 17th

That makes five planets making their ingress this season!

As you can see there is a lot going on. Which is just the way Gemini likes it. With a lot of moving parts and opportunities for change, the integration is what is most important. Otherwise the influx of energy just trips your system from overload. Grounding and self care are your key to integration.

You want to be able to hold and integrate, so that you can actually harness and use all of the new information that you are receiving.

And our Gemini Season candle has been designed to help you do just that.
